Rooted in Community: Why Giving Back Is Part of Our Mission

At Piscataqua Landscaping & Tree Service, caring for the communities we serve has always gone hand in hand with caring for the landscapes within them. The towns we work in across the New Hampshire Seacoast, Southern Maine, the Greater Portland area, and the New Hampshire Lakes Region are the same towns we live in, raise our families in, and have built a business in for nearly 50 years. The homes and businesses we serve are part of larger communities—and those communities are what make our regions such special places to live and work.

Our commitment goes beyond the work itself. Local involvement, responsible practices, and support for organizations doing meaningful work are part of how we define good stewardship. The nonprofits providing aid to families in need, the schools shaping future generations, and the local events that bring people together all help enhance the character of our communities. Supporting those causes is one way we can give back to the communities that have supported us for decades.

Our Team’s Commitment to Giving Back

The Piscataqua team has deep roots in the Seacoast, and that shapes our thinking about what it means to give back. Our employees do more than care for landscapes or build beautiful outdoor spaces. They help maintain the properties where people live, gather, work, and play. That connection creates a sense of pride in what we do that’s reflected in how our team approaches their work: with attention, ownership, and a commitment to doing right by every property and every person we serve.

Building Relationships That Last

One of the greatest privileges of serving the Seacoast for nearly five decades has been the relationships we’ve built along the way. Many of our clients have been with us for years, and those relationships often extend any single landscaping or tree care project. We’ve worked side by side through growth and change, development and transition, to improve the places we all share. Those human connections remind us that being a local business is also about being a dependable neighbor and an active member of our community.

Growing Strong Communities Together

At Piscataqua, we believe the health of a place is measured by more than its well-manicured lawns. It’s measured by the strength of its organizations, the vitality of its public spaces, and the local businesses invested in its future. As a landscaping company, our goal is to contribute to the health of our communities, not just the properties they contain. Just as landscapes thrive with consistent care, communities thrive when businesses, nonprofits, and residents work together for a common cause. We all benefit from the organizations that promote arts and culture, inspire the next generation, and encourage good citizenship.

How Piscataqua Supports Communities Across the Seacoast, Lakes Region, and Greater Portland

At Piscataqua Landscaping & Tree Service, our work takes us into neighborhoods, town squares, and backyards across the Seacoast of New Hampshire, the Lakes Region, and the greater Portland, Maine area. But being part of a community means more than showing up for a job — it means showing up for the people, too. Here’s a look at how we’re investing in the places we call home.

Seacoast, New Hampshire

In Greenland, we sponsored a booth at National Night Out, a community celebration that brings residents together with local police, fire, and civic groups for an evening of connection and fun. Our team handed out plants, met local families, and stood alongside the Greenland Police Department in an event built entirely around neighborliness.

Lakes Region, New Hampshire

Up in Belmont, we joined the town’s Old Home Day celebration, a beloved tradition that brings generations of residents together to celebrate local history and community pride. It’s exactly the kind of event that reflects what we love about working in smaller New England towns — deep roots, strong traditions, and a real sense of togetherness.

We’ve also put that same spirit behind local youth sports, sponsoring the Belmont Baseball Organization through a combination of team support and field maintenance. Helping keep the fields in great shape means more kids get to play, more families get to gather in the stands, and more summer nights get spent doing what small towns do best.

Greater Portland, Maine

As our business continues to grow in the Portland market, we’re building the same kind of community ties that have anchored us in New Hampshire for years. This September, we’re excited to bring that community spirit to Freeport as a financial sponsor and volunteer crew for Epic Experience, an organization dedicated to providing life-changing outdoor adventure experiences for adult cancer survivors. It’s a cause that means a great deal to our team, and we’re honored to lend both our resources and our hands to support it.

An Invitation

We support local organizations whose missions reflect our own values, and who create a positive impact across the Seacoast areas of Maine and NH, Lakes Region of NH and beyond. If your organization is doing important work in the communities we serve, we invite you to get in touch and tell us about your mission.
